Lots of new albums set to release this year including new meshuggah, deftones, lamb of god, and the first faith no more album in almost 20 years. Am i the only one excited? What are you looking forward to music wise?

Not a whole lot, really. System of a Down are bringing out a new album, to my knowledge, but I'm not a big a fan of them as I used to be.

To be honest, I've grown to be skeptical of new releases these days, so many are dissapointing it's just not worth it.

System said there could be but not to hold your breath, though i would listen to it.
I just cant help but be excited, i try to be optimistic about bands i like, even though at one time or another almost every band/artist has let me down. It comes with the territory, cant please everyone

Well they're playing a few gigs in the UK at the moment, 75 song sets with unreleased, presumably new material. A pretty hard nod towards a new album.

If it includes songs as good as Chop Suey! and BYOB I'll give it a go.

deftones, gonna see them on august 7th, and am excited for the new album, a new tool album would be nice before they are too old to perform.

No.42335

Excited about Meshuggah. New Tool would be nice someday. I been listening to flylo and rtj2 a lot. New btbam is coming out soon which is awesome. However I don't think it will beat the Alaska and Colors albums which are godtier.

I heard theyre doing a lot more clean vocals, which can either kick ass or suck dick. We'll have to wait and see. Also colors was the best thing they've ever/will ever do. one of my top 10 favorite albums of all time.

mad jealous. And dont quote me in that but i believe tool is currently in studio
>>42331
frank ocean is weak, did you listen to 'i dont like shit, i dont go outside' yet? I think all of the ofwgkta crew is losing their touch
>>42328
imho everything after steal this album was shit tier, but one can always hope

I enjoy Ocean's style and the overall sound of his music, Channel Orange especially. Lyrically he's lacking but the rest is there imo.

OF is definitley losing it's touch. Tyler's new album is good if you don't comapre it to his other shit, but as whole I agree.

No.42362

"I don't like shit, I don't go outside" and "Cherry Bomb" is all I'm listening at the moment, I gotta say though, Earl has changed as a person, Tyler's a little bit more mature but he's still not serious.

Ill be honest i havent really listened to tylers new shit, i was really disappointed with that last shit he did but ill give it a shot

It's completely different from his last album, not what you'd expect.

also i listened to it, twice now start to finish. i think this is my least favorite so far honestly. it sucks to see them all more of the mainstream(for lack of a better term) route and sacrificing quality. i dont like shit is by far #3 for earl if we're counting self titled and for tyler, i havent liked a full album of his since goblin. i know they want to define themselves separately but i think its high time the gang gets back together to do another OF album
